For those seeking rapid, anonymous testing without the bureaucracy of hospitals or labs, the Luxembourg Red Cross operates the HIV Berodung service, which frequently collaborates with the LGBTQ+ center CIGALE.
🏥 What is Tested?
HIV Berodung offers free, anonymous rapid testing via finger-prick blood tests for:
- HIV
- Syphilis
- Hepatitis C
This is rapid blood testing only. They do not perform the three-site bacterial swabs (throat, anus, urethra) required for a comprehensive chlamydia and gonorrhea screening. For a full workup, you must go to a clinic like CHL or a private lab with a doctor's prescription.
📍 Locations and Hours
You do not need an appointment or a CNS card for these services. Walk-ins are welcome.

💬 What Happens After a Positive Result?
If a rapid test shows a reactive (positive) result, the staff will provide immediate counseling. Because rapid tests require a laboratory blood draw for confirmation, they will refer you directly to the CHL Unit 20 to confirm the diagnosis and immediately link you to treatment.
